Will Not Start

2003 Vauxhall Meriva 1.6 Life Semi-Auto
Car: Vauxhall Meriva
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.6 Life Semi-Auto
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Can not get the car started , turn ignition on & the usual dash lights come on & car turns over but it will not fire up , I initially thought it could be the brake pedal starter switch but that seems to be operating correctly so I now suspect the crank or camshaft sensor ? When the engine is turning over the light of the car with the spanner is flashing .

Is there any movement on the tacho when cranking?

No there is no movement ,

Usually a good indication of Crank angle sensor failure.
If you have diagnostics it can be checked in the live data/RPM.

Thanks for that , I don't have diagnostics but It"s only a tenner for a crank sensor so I think I'll just get one & fit it at the weekend .
