It keeps losing power and cutting out when I start slowing down, then an F flashes on the dash, it comes back on when I turn the engine off and on.

You need a proper scan done with Vaux diagnostics.
"F" is normally a faulty with the autobox or systems so you could have multiple faults.

As above , common fault . Possible cause below but could also be connection / plug fault .Need to get it scanned with Tech 2 or similar .

my meriva is in garage for last week, i need help, no power getting to ecu, all fuses checked, all relays checked, won't connect to computer either, need a solution please
