Flashing F

1st thing to check is ALL the brake lights,
including the high centre one.
these just wont start with a faulty brake light.

Hi Had problem with meriva electronic. F was on dash panel. car won't start.

Checked brake light bulbs ( took bulb out ) and as much as the light did come on when tapped. the bulb was black.

changed near side bulb as the other side didn't show any blackness. put it all back together. disconnected the battery left it for 60 seconds. connected and the car started. F still on the dashboard. disconnected the battery again left it for a min reconnected it and it started and the F was gone all seems ok half hour and 25 miles later. put diagnostics machine on it did show fault codes cleared faults on computer and so far so good.. hope it helps. also check all fluid levels. these are not normally the problem. just may be and save a small fortune ???
