2004 Vauxhall Meriva front wheel noise/drifting

Car: Vauxhall Meriva
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.6 life
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi all, hope someone can help with this, for lack of a better description, at upwards of 40 mph the front wheels sound like a helicopter rotor (thud, thud thud) gets louder turning tight corners, and actually drifts when turning on chevrons, hitting cats eyes changing lanes or on a pitted surface, at under 40mph ie moving in a slow traffic jam the car feels like it's wobbling, new tyres on front wheels, track rods and track rod ends done on last mot and tracking done with no change. was going to look at changing wheel bearings and cv joints but will wait to see if anyone can provide any info, thanks in advance, Nigel.

We'll certainly on hard corners I would say c.v joint if u can find a empty space i.e car park go on full lock in circles to see if noise is there sounds more like a clicking sound though if c.v joint gone doesn't usually give sounds by going over bumps etc though check for play in wheel bearing usually they give humming sound when worn and faster you get the louder the noise
