Limp mode

2004 Vauxhall Meriva 1.7TDCI
Car: Vauxhall Meriva
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.7TDCI
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
i have a 54 plate meriva which went into limp mode when raining. i changed the pedal but still the same. i then noticed the offside side indicator light hanging off. i have stuck this back on but aint rained since. do you think this could cause the problem as water may have been seeping through. i am guessing the wiring for the accelerator and the indicator are very close together.

Rather than guess and replace parts not needed , get it scanned.

sorry i should have said. i have had it scanned and there were no faults recognised. i done the pedal test and came back to 1120. the garage said it probably didnt pick up a fault as it was an intermittent fault.

Hard to think how the loose light would cause it to be honest , but you never know .Shouldn't have long to wait with our weather to test out .Did you check the plug /connection, wiring at accl pedal?
