2006 Vauxhall Meriva slowing down, but not cutting out

Car starts all the time, but is frequently slowing down to a stop, but not cutting out (yet). I then have to change gear and rev, then the car takes off like a bullet. Don't get a warning it just slows down and stops/

Possibly fuel filter requires replaced,would first get the codes checked.

Did you sort it? I had an Agila that did the same. Tried everything, was a crap universal o2 sensor, we fitted a Bosch proper fit sensor and it never did it again.
When I ordered service parts for my agile I'm sure I was told it didn't have a fuel filter, maybe I was wrongly informed but I never found one
