Had this problem with our Meriva ( Happened on M25 doing 70mph, clean pants please) Taken to dealer, no fault found. Started happening on regular basis (dealer,no fault etc). Paid to have new power steering unit fitted £600ish. Then caught an article on TV prog Watchdog about this complaint. It appeared that Vauxhall were aware and were paying for repairs. We contacted Vauxhall and received a full refund. So stand your ground and try your luck.
