1997 Vauxhall Corsa will not fire

when i got the car it started ok, i travelled some 10 miles and parked it up now it wont start.
when i turn the ignition the engine will not fire/ turn over, anybody got any ideas

If engine not turning over , check battery , try jumpstart .

id open the key up and check to see wether there is a transponder chip in your key, if not you will need to have pass card information then dealers or decent auto locksmith in your area can reprogramme key
