1996 Vauxhall Corsa new key unlocks doors but wont work ignition

i have just had a new key cut it will open the doors but will only turn the ignition part way please help

Sounds like the key has not been cut properly.

Not a different key for ignition by chance ? possibly one or other been changed at any time ?
