got a corsa 1993, heater fan wasn't working so my mate took the plug off the top of it and connected a wire 2 the terminals on the battery to the plug bit. this caused lots of sparks. now i only have a dipped headlight on the right handside. when i start car no lights are on. and no counters work. when i drive bout 50 yards alternator light comes on and rev counter bursts in erattically. still have no petrol gauge or temp gauge. back lights all work as well.someone said possibly relays?? any suggestions be muchly appreciated thanks

hi there, from my experience the fan switch operates with earth not positive terminal and yes, you`r right it must be the relay.
if you have some smaller size black relays it should be one of them that operates the lights,
full size brown relay it should be for earth and green one for fan.
please x check this with someone with more experience coz im learning the hard way myself.
good luck
