losing coolant continually no obvious leaks, water not contaminating oil and have difficult staring when cold sounds as if not firing on all cylinders, once caught runs okay

If you cant see where water is leaking from , git a pressure test on cooling system .If still not right and not firing on all cyls , could be head gasket knackered .Depends where gasket goes whether it mixes with oil or not .

try taking out the spark plugs before you start it first time to see if there is any water leaking into the pistons (you may need a torch to shine in to see) if yes thensuspect head gasket
