2000 Vauxhall Corsa engine ticking over wrong

Hi..
My vauxhall corsa b 1.0 has developed a problem.
When trying to start it, it wont start without throttle and once it has started the idling ranges from 1000 to maybe 600..
It sounds like it wants to stall, maybe its struggerling for something (fuel or air) but not sure..
Could anyone help or have a idea of what the problem could be.??

Could check engine coolant temp sensor .
