1999 Vauxhall Corsa throttle

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 1999
Variant: 1.0 GLS
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
hi there

i took my corsa to a garage because of a problem with the throttle. It would struggle to reach 60-70mph on a motor way and would slow down even though i had my foot down. A diagnostic showed it needed a new, idle air control valve, i got that and fitted it,i also had the throttle sensor changed as it seemed to run better with out it connected, which meant the engine warning light was always on. They've been replaced and yet it is still struggling to gain speed.
i can not think what else could be causing it to struggle to gain high speeds.

Many Thanks xx

Surprised they changed idle air control valve for this fault . Have they cleaned throttle body ? or checked fuel filter ? If not an engine fault , clutch isn't slipping ?
