Car doesn't start sporadically and it does not seem to relate to warmth or cold of engine. eg Drove about 10 miles, stopped off and when restarted the engine did not 'catch' until after about five attempts. (It has a new engine but this seems to have made no difference.

Check cam crank sensor and engine coolant temp sensor . If still having problems get it scanned and see what shows .

does the engine crank over when fault present?if not could be fault with starter motor,check starter motor wiring and earth lead to chassis have good contact

bet its got a aftermarket crank sensor fitted replaced a friends with cheap on and had same thing started ok cold but when hot man it was a git put vauxhall one on it second hand but worked ok fault fixed happy days

I too have the same issue. few times perticullerly after a shorter journey when I stop and then want to start it will not start for few minutes(can be 10 to 30 minutes or more). have checked the starter motor,then the crankshaft sensor, and repalced a new battery too. but still facing the same issue periodically. one of the technitions sujjested that it can be a problem with the petrol pump and adviced if it happens again to slightly tap the bottem of the tank with a blunt or flat object.
