2000 Vauxhall Corsa engine wont start

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When the key is turned the started motor does not turn. There is a faint click, audible with the bonnet up, which I assume is the solenoid. If this is the solenoid does that only leave the started motor as the culprit? Where is the started motor located on the Corsa - inaccessible at the rear of the engine?

sounds like starter motor fault, make sure the battery is fully charged and check wiring to starter motor making sure connections are clean and secure and that you have good earth,if you remove starter motor you can bench test it
