I started up my car and drove about a mile the other day. after getting out, and returning to my car , i started it up but every time i pressed the accelerator, the car would cut out.

Hi I think this could be the fuel pump. Was the car running perfectly before? If you were getting hesitation and jerking at full throttle this would make sense.
Worth replacing the fuel filter as these are cheap and if blocked can cause cutting out.
If it's fuel injection and you're doing a DIY fix remember to depressurise the fuel system so you don't squirt any in your face!

changed the fuel filter and now it wont feed diesel it loses power when driving what could this be please
