Cambelt or chain

its a chain and does NOT need to be replaced unless it gets noisy.ive had to replace 2 and its a big job.so hope yours never gets noisy

There was a known fault with timing chains on Corsas a while back , see this old post .

timing chain - 2004 made cars, . Mainly 1.2, with only a few 1.0 and 1.4's affected

when you say get noisy, what sort of noise are you talking about? also if it is a big job how much would i be looking at?

its a light rattle from low on the front cover,hard to describe but like a hydralic tappet

I get a slight rattle/tinny sound when driving fast would that be it?
