Car juddering when pulling away in first gear

Hi there,

I have a vauxhall Corsa 2004 semi-automatic, when driving after half hour or so, then pulling away from a stationary position the car judders. any ideas what this could be?

You would have to find out if this was caused by an engine fault ( misfire ) or a fault with transmission .Might be advisable to get a diagnostic check carried out to see what shows .

I have taken it to a garage they seem to think it may be a gear box mount that needs replacing. does that sound likely?

Might be the cause if mounting knackered ,but would have thought it would do it all the time if that was the case , rather than after 1/2 an hour of driving ?

My only other worry is that it is the clutch or gearbox itself?
