Loud noise from engine & lack of power

There is a loud tapping noise from the engine. Every time i change gear there is a loud grinding noise and its very slow. Slow acceleration and cannot get higher than 40 mph!!!

firstly check the engine oil level and top up if required this should sort out the noise for you and with the 1000cc corsa engine being a 3 cylinder they are common for using oil as for power have it checked out but it is a 1ltr engine

hi thanks sprayed all conectors with wd40 and problem fixed car started thanks again second problem u have solved for me all the best
