2009 Vauxhall Corsa smell of petrol

Since my car was filled up with petrol last week, my car has smelt of petrol inside. I've only had the car a few weeks so i hadn't filled the tank up to the top before. At first i didn't take much notice as one of my previous cars used to smell the same if the tank had been filled. But the smell hasn't gone, and the petrol gauge seems to be going down a bit to quick.
