need the co readings down to pass the mot, co was sitting at 0.8, changed the spark plugs, put fuel treatment in the tank, removed the air filter and put on a standard one, there is no mass air flow meter on the car but it does have a cat and a lamda sensor(one wire on the lamda sensor)how does the 'carb' know how much fuel to deliver?and how can I reduce the fuel going thru the system? car runs sweet too. thanks for any help

is the cat an aftermarket one sounds like this is the fault. an oil change wont reduce the CO niether will a fuel filter

hi did any fault codes show up. i would get a diagnostic test done before just replacing the cat. cats are expensive to replace. i would personally replace the fuel filter and oil if not changed for a while
