2002 Vauxhall Corsa tappety/rattling noise when engine warm

car starts fine but after 10/20 mins of driving I get a tappety/rattling noise from the engine. No warning lights. Aware need new exhaust system but can't see that this would cause problem

You don't say what engine in car .Could be timing chain / tappets .
