2001 Vauxhall Corsa loud pitched noise from front wheels

I've noticed recently that sometimes as I'm driving along a high pitched noise comes from my wheels. This stops when I apply my brakes - I think it may be the brake discs that need changing but I'm not sure. Is it dangerous to continue to drive with this problem?

Would be advisable to get checked ASAP , don't want to take any chances with brakes .Most fast fit centres will usually check and report FOC.
