2003 Vauxhall Corsa rattling noise coming from wheel

hi check the disc pads if after market pads fitted the may be slightly smaller than originals and moving slightly in caliper, check brake backplate not loose or split, it has been known in the past for idiots to remove the wheel trims put stones in them then refit trims for a laugh may be worth checking

hi its not the pads i fit them myself and they were the right fit but i will check them anyway and the backplate while i am at it. i removed the trims because they were broken up because where i live the roads are very bad. i was told a few months ago that the cv joint was nearly gne but i thought that would make a squealing noise more so than a knocking noise or am i wrong. any hints would be greatly appreciated

You don't get squealing noise from driveshaft c/v joints .You get a heavy clicking when on full lock , amongst other symptoms .If you grab the shaft and c/v joint you should see if it knackered or not with the movement that is there .

ok thats grand will check that then. wat about the rattling noise then any ideas what that mite be? it only rattles going over bumps in the road

hi thanks all for your posts. i think i got the ratling noise sorted 2day. there was an anti rattle spring very loose and bent straightened it up and refitted hope thats it sorted now again thanks every1 for your posts
