2005 Vauxhall Corsa auto gearbox stops driving and puts up a f warning light

car has done 23000 miles and now every now and again a F light comes up and the car won`t drive for no reason at all it has been in and out of the garage and main dealers but no one can diagnose the problem

sounds like a can-bus problem... its possible that the gearbox ECU is not comuinicating correctly with the engine ECU, or not cominicating correctly with its own internal/external sensors. hope this helps!!!
