1998 Vauxhall Corsa problem at the petrol pumps - have to put petrol in slowly

Variant: 1.2 SXI

Hi
I have a problem with my corsa.
When i am at the petrol pumps, if i squeeze the hangle all the way it "clicks" and stops me from putting any petrol into my car.

I have to start moving the handle slowly and gradually build up til about half way to get any petrol into my car. So take a while to fill up my whole tank.

I have checked for blockages in the pipe - nothing.

Any suggestions?

there isnt anything wrong at all with your car this is normal for all the corsas as the neck is just to narrow and the fuel comes back up as you are experiencing very common problem
