2004 Vauxhall Corsa something hanging from the under the car at front

Car making a funny rattling noise when idling or in 1st gear, fine when gain a bit of speed.
Had a look the other day and the front section of the long silver casing under the car is hanging off. Don't know what this is but it extends from the front of the car to the back. Don't think its the exhaust becaue that is located to the left of the car, the silver thing is down the middle of the car.
Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like exhaust heat shield hanging off .Exhaust runs down centre of car from front and comes out at side on rear . Call into any fast fit centre and they will check foc.
