1999 Vauxhall Corsa mot fail

hi car failed on mot -offside rear brake pipe seriously damaged found during steering lock to lock [2.2.d.1b] but when i phoned up for part they asked me is it rear flexy pipe or the rear solid pipe u need but i wasent sure what 1 to get do eny u guys know would be helpfull if its the pipe from wheal cilinder thats the solid kinda brass 1 thats not flexy but looks ok to me thanks

I would say it is the metal pipe . If it was the hose , it should say "flexible hose " . All the years I tested cars , I always defined exactly what part failed .To be sure , contact MOT test station for verification .If it is pipe , you can get a copper pipe made to sample at most accessory shops while you wait . Sometimes flexy hose can look o.k until pressure put on then it can bulge .
