2001 Vauxhall Corsa keeps cutting out

hi i have a corsa 1.0 2001,just started having problems with it starting up.ie had battery and starter motor checked they are fine.i go to turn it over,and the car light with spanner keeps flashing,after about 3 attempts and really reving it, it starts.if i give it a good run its fine and will start up.come the next morning and its cold out,i have the same prob.wandered if it could be an electrical fault.i do beleive the coils are probs on these cars.dont want to have to shell out,anyone any ideas.
