1999 Vauxhall Corsa radiator hoses getting very hot

replaced a split radiator hose, but the hoses seem to be getting too hot when the engine is running

Could try bleeding cooling system ,though not normally needed .Then check water is circulating through rad . ok .Check electric fan operating as it should .Maybe thermostat gone if car ran with low water ?
