2005 Vauxhall Corsa high pitch noise when accelerating

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.3CDTi
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi,
My diesel Corsa emits a high pitch whine from the engine area when accelerating. The whine seems to be at low to mid revs only. Could this be related to the turbo or could this be something else?
Many thanks for your help with this.
