2005 Vauxhall Corsa engine emission light illuminated

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2005
Variant: 55 Corsa SXi 1.2 Twinport
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Car was fine one day and today the emmission warning light came on and the car was running like a bag of spanners. I managed to get it home but no power. I left it for a couple of hours and tried again. The car started fine but was missfiring. The emission light stayed on again and after about 3 minutes idling, the light startet to flash off and on for approx a minute then went back to static. I have read a few threads in here and they are very good. Is there anyone who might have an idea what is wrong with my Corsa. I did notice if I over revved the engine, the electronic light came on but went out again if the revs were down but the emission light stayed on. The care had a similar problem when under warranty and was fixed by process of ellimination. New ignition pack and something else but I can`t remember. I only have 22k miles and been serviced regular.

Other than getting car scanned and seeing what codes show , just guessing ,but could be coil pack again .

Thanks for the response. I done a light flash test to get the codes and they were
0300
0301
0302
0303
0304
When I looked them up, it just says engine missfiring. As if I don`t know. There has been a lot of rain up here and roads flooded. I don`t suppose it could be something as simple. Probably not, I couldn`t be that lucky.
Any further ideas.

Could be water/ dampness causing spark to track and engine misfire . I would check coil pack and plugs for dryness and any signs of tracking .Check plugs when you've got them out for signs of any not firing . Sometimes a wipe with a dry cloth works wonders on electrics .

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I had to take the car into the garage. They thought it might be the coil pack and replaced it but same problem was still there. Tried the Air flow meter but still no fix. Plugs etc were all changed and camshaft checked as well as sensor. Then some bright spark had a look at the fuel filter... Lo and behold it was gummed up and after further investigation, the fuel was found to be contaminated with Water and some form of floating solution that seemed to melt in your hand if touched. Anyhow, tank was removed, clened out and new fuel filter fitted... Now car is fine again and fault codes cleared. By the way, they didn`t charge for any parts but just...JUST...£360 labour... An expensive fill up at a duff garage that wont accept it was their fuel... Thanks to all who helped... Moral of story... Check the simple things first...
