2005 Vauxhall Corsa engine cuts out when operating lights

When starting engine side lights and indicator lights come on.If you press brake pedal engine cuts out.If you put lights on engine cuts out.If you put reverse lights on engine cuts out.Any ideas

Not an electrician but first thing I would check is all earth connections epecially from engine to body .

check the earthing points around the back lights the fuel pump earth may be in the same location

Thanks for that,the problem was the earth wire in the tail gate had broken away.Remade connection and all is well.
