Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2018
Variant: 1.4
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Doors open no problem but boot will not budge. Unfortunately just outside warranty. Only done 12k miles and driven carefully. Any advice as garage said harness problem and want £300 to fix

Could be the wring at top of body where it passes into tailgate ( in rubber sheaf ) damaged or broken . Should be able to get it repaired a lot cheaper than £300 if that is the cause by a good , independent garage or auto electrician That is if that is the problem and not a faulty boot lock .

Its the micro swith in the boot handle has failed common problem and cheap to fix as you just buy a new one and take the screws out of the plastic liner in the tailgate and pull the pannel off working around the pannel
This then give access the the switch assembly held on with two bolts the complete assembly can the be removed and replace with a new one costs about £30 ebay
you can open the tail gate from inside the car by moving the lock pin on the outside of the lock on the left hand side
