spray a bit of wd40 in the barrel.

sounds like you need a ignition barrel rebuild doing on the car this can be done at the dealers for around the £50 plus mark but you are not alone this happens to alot of the vauxhall locks and all require rebuild

DONT spray wd40 in the barrel, never spray wd40 on any lock as this will in the future make things far worse as the oil binds the dirt and dust into a mush, with your ignition problem you need a new one no other way, i had same problem, and even if you do get key in and turned, it may jam, trust me on this, vauxhalls will have to do the repair as they need to re-code the key

Thanks for advice-looks like it isnt a cheap job,was planning to trade it in next week!!!

by having the lock rebuild you dont need to have the key recoded as you are not interfering with anything electrical that can be effected so have the lock rebuild done ive done loads of lock rebuilds and had no problems at all
