2000 Vauxhall Corsa car cuts out

My emissions light is constantly working and car has recently started cutting out as I engage the clutch when coming to a stop. It takes about 5 seconds to turn over and start again, then my rev meter doesn't work again, until I leave the car for a few hours. Any ideas?
