Vauxhall Corsa can't turn temperature selctor dial to hot

Never done one but must be the cable or motor whichever operates the heater control valve / flap faulty . Thanks for that reply but the problem is the mechanical knob that switches from cold to hot, etc

That seems to be a common fault with the control panel as plenty new and used on e bay for sale
