Can't turn temperature selctor dial to hot

2017 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 Sting

First day of cold weather. Tried to select Hot and dial stuck on Cold
Problem added: Nov 3, 2021 (2 years ago)
Never done one but must be the cable or motor whichever operates the heater control valve / flap faulty . This shows a #27 fuse for heater shut off valve , you could check / pull fuse and refit .

Thanks for that reply but the problem is the mechanical knob that switches from cold to hot, etc

That seems to be a common fault with the control panel as plenty new and used on e bay for sale
