Dash lights flickering

2020 Vauxhall Corsa SE
Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2020
Variant: SE
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Dash lights flicker and dealer diagnostic can’t find anything wrong!! Could it be the alternator? Spanner, exclamation mark and car with 2 horizontal lines appear too. New car. Fault codes showed up but dealer just cleared them.

Get back to dealership and insist on getting this fixed as you wont use the car with warnings showing as unsafe to do so and ignore . Not to mention any possible damage to the car by doing so . The fault codes that were showing need fixing , not deleting .Ask them what the codes were , You cannot check or do anything yourself to car as this would / could invalidate your warranty , playing into their hands . Give them another opportunity to rectify faults and contact Vauxhall customer service if not getting satisfactory solution . Dont let them fob you off or mess you about , keep on at them till it is fixed .

Thanks for the speedy reply. Vauxhall know about it but things aren’t happening quick enough for me. Finance company sending an independent auto engineer/electrician to see it next week. Brought it home as I’m getting nowhere with the dealership.

Very surprised they cant resolve the fault . But unless there are other factors I'm not aware of , disgraceful way to deal with a customers complaint .

Bought many, many cars over the years from this dealership - never again!! I’ll keep you informed if the outcome.

Diagnostic now showed the lights sensor is too sensitive. (On the windscreen). Anyone know if it is an easy fix. Thanks.

It's up to them to solve . On some makes the sensitivity can be adjusted with the manufacturers diagnostic equipment , but not sure with VX . They could always try replacing the sensor . You could try driving the car with the auto lights switched off and see if all o.k as a temp move .
