Will not Rev

2004 Vauxhall Corsa
Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2004
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Sorry but I am an amateur. My corsa will not fully rev, the engine warning light has appeared. Even when the accelerator is fully down it struggles to get above 3,000 rev's so trying to go uphill is almost impossible. What is wrong any suggestions will be appreciated.

i took it to my local garage he took £124 for the job and parts. he said it was one of the pistons that wasnt firing. but it worked brilliant after that.
