What do you mean ? " mileage guage not working " Is speedo not registering or miles covered , or both .Check coolant level .

It could be a problem with your coolant temp sensor or a wiring fault..the two faults may not be linked and the odometer issue could just be a bulb out

engine revs very high doesn't matter what gear you are in have to brake very hard to slow car down due to high revs
