have you put a wrong bulb in and possibly blown the fuse

check that you have put the correct bulb in as there are single element bulbs and double element bulbs you should have single element im sure but look inside the bulb holder and see how many electrical contacts there are if only one at the base of the holder then it single element but if two contacts at the base then double element bulb and also do check the fuses just to be sure
