2001 Vauxhall Corsa won't start

My wife was driving my daughter corsa and the engine lost power and died it made a small clucking noise now it won't start can you shed any light on the problem thanks

Usually with these it's oil starvation.
And that means the engine is shot.
I might be wrong but best get a mechanic to check it out.

Many possible causes and really need more info .Could be alternator failure , battery failure or both .Test battery voltage first and that will either help to eliminate or not .Might also be more serious like timing chain or camshaft which are common on that car .
