Otherwise perfect car slows to 40m/h on hills

2003 Vauxhall Corsa SXI
Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2003
Variant: SXI
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My recently fully serviced and MOTed Corsa loses nearly all power on hills.
Changed Oil & Fuel filters, plugs, plus oil change.
No other loss of power or symptoms at all, just loss of nearly all power going up hills.
I have no warning lights either (yes, all the dash bulbs work).
Some people point to the MAF (which I'm about to change).
Had a diagnostic reader on the car other day and nothing out of the ordinary.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On Corsa's I'm with you,
MAF's,
Easy test is unplug the MAF then drive it up a hill.
Better?
Then it's the MAF,
this will throw a fault code into the ECU.
But I have seen many Corsa's do this and no codes registered.
It is because the MAF is still operating within parameters but not really telling the ECU the correct air mass load.
Oh and one last thing is don't be tempted to go for budget parts,
they can be "Worse" than your original MAF.

Thanks matey. I'll try that. I'm more or less certain that it's the MAF. But I'll check.
Re: fake parts... I've been told in the past that some parts you can't gamble on the cheaper option. In this case, it's got to be Bosch. Double the price but none of the worry.
