Won't start

2003 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 manual 5 door
Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.2 manual 5 door
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Due to a snapped key in ignition I have replaced the ignition barrel with a secondhand lock and key, I replaced the chip in new key with the old one. During the process of changing the ignition barrel I slipped off the immobiliser control unit but it was not disconnected, having refitted the lock barrel and control unit the car now turns over but will not start.
