hi i have a whining/humming noise coming from the rear of my car, the noise isn't there when idling, it appears when i'm moving above 15/20 mph and gets louder the faster i go, anyone got any ideas, would be greatly appreciated. thanks

it sounds like you might have a wheel bearing fault jack the vehicle up and wedge a wheel that is on the ground so it does not roll away then release the handbrake and spin the wheel by hand try this both sides and compare the noise it makes

i have replaced wheel bearings on both sides just to be sure as i thought it would solve the problem, but the noise is still there,i've noticed that when i'm going round roundabouts the noise disappears slightly but as soon as i straighten up it comes straight back again, any one got any ideas as to what it could be :(
