2006 Vauxhall Corsa heater won't turn off

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.2
Categories: Leaks & Noises
The heater won't turn off and after a short time begins to smell. Have been told it is a very complicated job as it is all electronic. Does this sound like an elctronic problem or an electrical one? How long will it take to fix?

sounds like the rheostat is faulty. this is the control box on the side of the heater box near the blower motor that controls the speeds of the blower.
does removing the fuse stop the blower? if so, then the rheostat is the most probable cause of the fault. have it checked out!! hope this helps!!
