2001 Vauxhall Corsa wipers stop and start

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.2 Auto 5 door
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
When switching my wipers on they drag themselves accross the windscreen very slow and vibrate, they stop and start, but when down to the left, they stay there and there is a vibration from the right one trying to move. My back one works fine. Hope to here from someone soon, Thanks

replace the wiper blades with some bosch ones and have a look at the wiper linkage if you say its noisey/vibration noise when down but havnt come across this before with the corsas

Check the linkage first, may be a loose connection. If ok probably need a new motor.

Just thought of something else, switch your ingnition on but don't start the engine, switch on your wiper and see if you can hear the motor turning. If the motor sounds like it is constantly running but the actual blades are not moving then it probably is the linkage. If the motor is jumpy like the blades are then a new motor is needed me thinks.
