Vauxhall Corsa petrol guage wont work n car wont start

car starts runs for few seconds then wont start again also petrol guage packed up at same time as this happened so cant help but think problems related please help thanks

Can you here the fuel pump when you turn the key. If not you will need to get it checked out

He has a point. I distinglishly can hear the petrol pump starting on my Astra. Mine is almost dead.
