2004 Vauxhall Corsa maintainance light sed it was electronic throttle body but i dont no i just no my car wont start

about 6 wks ago maintainance light came on local garage said i needed electronic throttle body and it wud cost £450 i didnt hav the money so they reset it and the car has worked fine except 4 havin to b jumped twice for the 6 wks until wednesday the car wudnt start so we tried to jump start it which it started up but the maintainance light came on and ther was no power at all from my accelerator so the guy from the garage but the computer on and managed 4 me 2 get it home as it reset but the light was still on but the accelerator worked now i dont no wot 2 do as some people r sayin it is my ecu r sumit and it needs 2 b sent off i dont no wot 2 do please help any1 x

there are so many things that go wrong with the vauxhall range so you are not alone but could be the ecu as you have been told can also be the body control module but would need more info to be sure
