There is a problem with the connection at rear of instrument panel .This is the best link I can find at the moment which gives pictures and a walkthrough on one guys method of rectifying .There are many methods of tightening the plug that will suffice .

I had the exact same problem with my instrument panel on my corsa . It was a loose connection. You need to remove the instrument panel. The instrument panel slots into a plug on the back similar to a scart lead socket. I just used a blob of super glue around the plastic connector. It worked. Be sure not to contaminate the internals of the connector with glue. The control panel will not lose your odometer reading by the way. Hope this helps.
